Image resizer in KB

Online forms for exams, jobs, visas and IDs often cap photo uploads at a size like 20 KB or 50 KB. Type the size you need and this tool finds the best quality that fits, shrinking the dimensions only if it has to.

How it works

  1. Drop a photo or a scanned signature.
  2. Type the size in KB, or pick 20, 50, 100, 200 or 500 KB.
  3. Download the JPG under that size.

Questions

How does it hit an exact size?

It tries JPG qualities from high to low and keeps the best one under your limit. If even low quality is too big, it reduces the width and height a little and tries again.

Will my photo still be accepted?

Most forms check the file size and format (JPG). If a form also sets pixel dimensions, resize to those first with the image resizer, then compress here.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, which matters for ID photos and signatures.
